For example, if we believe that we are good at evaluating candidates, we may be more likely to rely on our own judgments and impressions, rather than on objective evidence or data. The overconfidence bias can cause us to make biased or inaccurate hiring decisions, and it can lead us to overlook important information or perspectives that could impact the success of the hiring process.
