Anchoring bias
This is the tendency to rely too heavily on the first piece of information we encounter about a candidate, even if that information is irrelevant or unreliable. Anchoring bias can cause us to over- or underestimate a candidate's qualifications or potential for success, and it can make us less open to alternative options or possibilities.
